Men can develop UTIs (urinary tract infections).

Their incidence in men is lower than women because of a few factors: length of the urethra, proximity of a woman's urethra to the anus, secretions from the prostate gland, etc.

UTI's (Urinary Tract Infections) are caused by bacteria in the meatus, sometimes this can occur with unclean areas surrounding the meatus opening (urethra). Also a build up of "smegma" can harbor bacteria surrounding the meatus opening. Pull the foreskin back and clean regularly!
