technically yes, because he uses" the use of violence for the achievement of political ends" but he is also our contries great legend, and he was only doing it because the learders were totally corrupt and he wanted to help the poor
he wasn't actually a criminal he just stole money from the rich and gave it to the poor that's all, i think???
Robin Hood was a heroic bandit. In the eyes of the rich and the sheriff, he was viewed as a common thief, but in the eyes of the poor, he was a hero and a saint. He did indeed "steal" money from the rich, which is considered a criminal act, but he did not keep that money for himself, unlike most criminals (whom keep the loot for themselves). Instead, he gave it to the poor and needy, kind of like a illegitimate, medieval Salvation Army.
well .... i really don't know what you call it if you rob the rich and give their money the poor well now that i think about it he's ...... half and half he does a good deed but after does a bad so he's in between not a bad guy but not a hero so robin hood is half and half
Robin Hood was a hero to the poor and a villan to the rich, as the rich feared him.
Robin Hood is like Batman. It just depends what side you are on: the poor people getting the money or the rich people getting their 'hard earned' money stolen.
If you read the book - he is a hero. If he accosted you and robbed you of your money - he's a villain. I suppose by definition you could call him an anti-hero. He did the right thing, but he did technically bad things to do it. If you played DnD, you would say that he had a Chaotic Good alignment.
Robin Hood was an outlaw to the Sheriff and a hero to the people.
Some of the retellings of the legend of Robin Hood place him in the era of King John, thought he has been similarly dated to Henry II, Richard and various of the Edwards. He certainly works as a pantomine villain, the image of Bad King John against people's hero Robin Hood.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood, English folklore hero. They have been arguing for many years about Robin Hood, was he real, who could he be based on etc. No doubt they will be arguing for many more years to come. I refer you to the excellent article our friends from Wikipedia have put together. See the link below
robin hood = forest + hero
