when the kissing is described as "magical" "electrifying" or that it felt like the characters were "flying". and if the plot is overly complicated like the flying teen bird kids were on a submarine in Hawaii with snot blowing rock monsters chasing them while the 6 year old can read minds, control minds, breath underwater, and is turning evil. that is BAD plot! when characters go into commas when their "other half" is gone. those r signs of a very cheesy, very bad book.
