CHICKENS
- Pullet - weight is at most 1 pound
- Broiler - weighs 2 pounds at 6-10 weeks old
- Fryer - weights 2.5 pounds at 6 weeks
- Roaster - weights 3+ pounds at 8 weeks
- Broiler fowl - weighs 6 pounds and is 8 months and older
- Capon - castrated rooster
- Stag - rooster
- Cockerel - mature rooster
DUCK
- Broiler/Fryer - 8 weeks old
- Roaster - 8-16 weeks old
- Mature/old - more than 6 months old
TURKEY
- Fryer/roaster - 4-5 pounds
- Young hen - 8 pounds
- Young tom - 12+ pounds
- Yearling hen - mature female
- Yearling tom - mature male
- Old turkey - fully matured male or female
PIGEONS
- Squab - immature pigeon
- Pigeon - mature pigeon of either sex
GOOSE
- Gosling - less than 6 months
