Harry Truman ended WW!! in both the European theater and the Pacific theater during his termas president, but the thing that he is more famous for is holding a copy of a newspaper that reads Dewey Wins in referance to Thomas Dewey being declared the winner in the race for president which Truman won. but the most important thing he did was dropping the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima which totally destroyed any trace of life at ground and killed many more in the surrounding areas. A week later he dropped one on Nagasaki which promptly ended the war. Sometimes the most popular wins over the most important.
