Rubber oder coming from vents maybe caused by you're blower motor.If this is the case it should bemaking a growling sound or asqueeling like noise. If this is the case you're squirel cage maybe rubbing. Leaving a burningsmell. Pull the blower motor out and look at it there should besigns of ware on the squirel cage.If not maybe the motor itself.With out further information thiswould be a good place to start.
