The Sun i think
NO!!! It's the gravitational pull of the MOON!!! As it pull the Earth from opposite sides, it causes the tides. This "pull" on the Earth elongates the Earth by about 8 ft in opposite directions. I really hope you didn't use the SUN answer as your final answer. :)
just like the earth, the moon the sun and the other heavenly bodies in space have gravity. the moon's gravity acts on the objects on earth but it is on the water that this gravitational pull is most noticeable. as the moon's gravity pulls the earth's water, the water level at the sea rises. this phenomenon is called tides.
i hope this would help askers of this questions :) :) :).............................REIGN.PHIL
The Earth rotating and the gravity of the Moon and the Sun.
See the link below.
The Sun and the moon
Gravity from the moon, control's the ocean ( river, streams, lakes, etc) tides.
mostly the moon but the wind determines the direction it flows
The Earth rotating and its tilt of the axis forms the oceans' tides and currents.
yes they are inexable because if the ocean is here then so will water tides
The Sun and the moon
Gravity from the moon, control's the ocean ( river, streams, lakes, etc) tides.
The gravitational pull of the moon.
The moon and to some extend the sun
The benefit is that the moon causes the ocean tides, high and low.
The moon's gravitational force is what causes the ocean tides to change. How Stuff Works has a great diagram and explanation of how this happens.
Tides are caused due to the gravitational pull of the Moon which causes the ocean to bulge out, towards its direction.
Tide is the answer.
mostly the moon but the wind determines the direction it flows
The gravity of the moon and sun causes the earth's tides. The greatest tides are called 'spring' tides which occur when the earth, moon and sun are aligned. The moon has the greatest effect on our tides because of its proximity.
The Moon's gravity pulls ocean water toward it while the Earth revolves.
