Every country has gay and lesbian people. The percentage of them in the population is the same everywhere.
However, some countries persecute them, and so they either leave, or conceal their orientation.
It is difficult to determine which country has the least gay people due to varying factors such as cultural norms, legal restrictions, and social stigma that can affect the willingness of individuals to openly identify as gay. Additionally, sexual orientation is a diverse and fluid aspect of human identity that exists in every country around the world.
That is a difficult question to answer because many countries are not gay friendly and where being homosexual is illegal. However the worst of the worst countries are:
All of these countries have laws that make homosexuality illegal and punishable only by the death penalty. Many countries imprison gay people, some banish them from their country and some punish them by flogging but the ones I've listed are the only countries where being gay automatically sentences you to death.
Iran also executes gay people but unlike the other countries it is not mandatory, only an option in punishment. And although Iraq legalized homosexuality in 2003, they are not tolerant of it and also have no problems finding reasons to put gays to death.
Unfortunately though it may be legal in some countries and not in others, the sad fact is that no country is really very tolerant. Some are more so than others. But when it comes right down to it tolerance isn't acceptance. Gays have a long way to go to be truly accepted.
