I know its very hard being in a situation with a baby and feeling you no longer want the relationship with the father. You need to decide if leaving is what you really want, is he not being supportive or are you not in love with him anymore. What do you see as your future with this person. If your mind is made up be responsible tell him and leave if its safe to do things that way. If you know he will be violent wait till he leaves pack as much as you can get help from family if possible and leave. You dont want to be unhappy the rest of your life, your baby can sense things are not right with you. GOOD LUCK!
