When running in safe mode you may find that the computer stops this is in fact a mistake. A normal bootup takes 3 to 4 mins depending on the computer the same computer in safe mode may take 15 to 20 min to boot. This is due to the drivers being loaded and unloaded and the log file being written with the results. if this fails still to boot select the option in safe mode to manually install the drivers don't panic it will ask you if you want to install them one by one.
If you have hyperthreading ie pentium 4 or similar, go into the bios, sometimes described as setup and look to see if hyperthreading is disabled. If so, re-enable it and save the changes and then boot into windows in normal mode, this may solve your problem.
You may have drivers (programs that tell your hardware how to run) that are faulty, in SAFE MODE all drivers are not loaded.
I have the exact same laptop as you and to be honest, I have had no problems with it what so ever. Is the noise coming from the hard drive, fan, DVD drive?? For the crashing/freezing, it could be from viruses/malware (and what not) to hard drive failure and other components failing. Firstly, how hot is your laptop getting? and is the crashing happening after about 30 mins - 1 hour? you could also try booting in safe mode. If it still crashing in there, try repairing the O/S with a windows ?? disk or reinstall your O/S (with the serial number under your laptop). If you manage to boot in safe mode and isn't freezing, download and install malwarebyte and run scan in safe mode. If still no success, take it to a computer shop or contact me via private message.

Try to start last working version... If you laptop (netbook) is having problems to start in Safe Mode there is not much you can do... One of things you can do is to load the system in command line mode and see where it stops. And go from there...
You need to try to run your computer in safe mode.
Use the up/down arrows to move it to regular mode. The computer will start normally at that point. It sounds like you are shutting down your computer without going to the menu and highlighting "turn off". When you do this the computer starts in safe mode because it wasn't shut down properly. DO NOT shut down with the power button. If you have a laptop you can program it to turn off when you shut the lid.
Probably a corrupt windows file. Rescue data and re-install windows.

Usually, if Windows is recovering from a system error, or the laptop wasn't shut town properly, a page will come on the screen after the BIOS boot (page that shows the computer manufacturer's logo, a phrase along the lines of BIOS Version so-and-so, and a progress bar) giving you different options on how to run Windows. You'll get three choices, Start Windows in Safe Mode, Start Windows in Safe Mode with Networking Support, and Start Windows Normally.
