it mean oil is leaking at the top of the engine and it can go onto the exhaust and smoke when start up and smell inside and leave oil puddle in your drive way
Well, oil leaking onto the starter is a common cause of it going bad. Have the starter tested, if possible, then replace if bad. You'll also want to correct the oil leak, usually valve covers leaking.
Typically there will be a cap on one of the valve covers. jr
Where is it leaking from? Oil pan, intake, valve covers, oil cooler lines? welding
yes because if the valves covers are leaking what is there to contain the pressure inside the cylinder
Yes if the valve is leaking. But in general the answer is no.
They are gaskets under your valve covers that keep oil from leaking out.
NO NO, That would be a intake gasket leaking, not a head gasket. You also should check where the heater hose hooks up on the intake, it may be leaking.
its the PCV valve
If the valve cover gaskets are leaking, yes.
Could be the intake manifold gaskets are leaking.
Whether you do it through the valve covers or elsewhere, yes the engine needs positive crankcase ventilation.
Yes it sure can and will if the valve covers are leaking oil and the header gaskets are worn out/ leaking.
