When the heater resistor goes, your climate control fans will only work on the fourth setting. You can get a new resistor from any Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer, though they may have to order one.

What cause the hvac fuse to keep blowing in my Chevy s10?

My s-10 does the same thing. I have found out that it only blows when I place the blower motor in speed 4. If I unplug the blower motor and put the switch to 4 it does not blow. I have recently replaced the blower motor and resistor and this had no effect. Hope this helps.

What is open blower resister?

most blower resistors are used to conrol blower fan speed some are mechanical useing different sizes of coiled wire to cut down power which slows fan speed down a open resistor is a open circuit or broken circuit most time you only have high speed and no lower pseeds when resistor blows also now ther are electronic resistors that limit power to fan but they use electronic parts to perform the same effect as theyre early models. open resistor is a open short or breake in the electricity flow. its in the blower box to keep it from overheating resistance equals heat.. g

What effect if any does connecting an ammeter in series with a resistor in a circuit have on the current though the resistor?

That depends on the quality (price) of the meter. Ideally it should have no effect.

What is effect of an unbypassed resistor on the common emitter amplifier circuit?

An emitter resistor in a common emitter circuit will cause the stage to experience the effects of degenerative feedback if it is unbypassed. The degenerative feedback reduces gain. This is probably the primary effect in the described circuit.
