Port of Discharge (POD): Basically, the port at which the item is discharged from vessel. When transshipment is needed (basically means the container will stop at one, two, or a few ports to change ships before it arrives at final destination), there can be a number of PODs during the course of shipment until it reaches the final destination. Normally "POD" will include the name of the port where the item is located.
