Mary I of England was from the house of Tudor. Born on 18 February 1516, the daughter of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. She became Queen on 19 July 1553 following the death of her brother, Edward VI. She died, childless, on 17 November 1558 and was succeeded by her half-sister, Elizabeth I
