Limewire is in a lot of trouble for doing or helping with the sharing of illegal downloads to music, videos, ebooks, etc. if you have visited it recently there is a legal court notice that blocks anyone from using the site. the limewire team have mentioned about making something new but in the mean time you can use frostwire, which is a tacky rip-off of limewire. its similar to limewire but not as good. it also doesnt have as much variety of songs. (but lets hope limewire makes something new).

If it has totally disappeared then there is two possible ways this could have happened. The one that you're hoping for is that you changed the directory in which you save the files once their downloaded. If this has happened simply go into the Limewire Settings and change this. The other way this could have happened is you deleted the files. If this has happened then check your recycle bin and if the files are in there restore them. If not then I believe the only way to get your files back is to download them over again.
