Basically,East and west Pakistan has only one difference, that is of the Language. Both have the same major religion that is Islam. However there are some conflicts.the only reason for the separation of east Pakistan was the Dictatorship. In my Opinion Still People of both parts remember each other.the people of west Pakistan still want east Pakistan to reunite as a country, because both the enemy of both east and west Pakistan is common.
Another Answer:
East Pakistan at the time of separation represented 58% of the population of ALL of Pakistan. After an election in 197o an East Pakistani leader was elected called Sheikh Mujib. This it seems was unacceptable to the Dominant yet minority 42% West Pakistani population. The Unanimous vote was given to Sheikh Mujib due to pure oppression of the majority
Examples of neglect include:
The East Pakistani population was 58% of the total population of the country. This majority were not even allowed to have their language as one f the national languages until after a bloody battle between army and students.
Sub standard goods were sold from West Pakistan to East Pakistan at double the price. East Pakistan was not allowed to deal directly with any neighbouring countries
East Pakistani had no representation in the armed forces or in government or local office.
Modern day Bangladesh (as East Pakistan is now called), has its own economy and own government and is freely practicing democracy and religion.
In 1947 British India was partitioned along religious lines, any areas where the Hindus were in majority became India. Pakistan was created as a homeland for the Muslims. What became East and West Pakistan were the areas of British India that had a majority Muslim population. East and West Pakistan were situated on different ends of the subcontinent with India in the middle.
West Pakistan is modern day Pakistan and East Pakistan became Bangladesh in 1971.
The Muslim country was Pakistan. East Pakistan and West Pakistan. East Pakistan is now Bangladesh.
East Pakistan separated from West Pakistan because of neglect and abuse on part of West Pakistan. East Pakistan was fairly lawless and forgotten by West Pakistan. East Pakistan had no voice when it came to its own affairs, as well.due to these reasons it was seperated.
in East India in West- Afghanistan
Bangladesh
.
India is to the east of West Pakistan. East Pakistan (Bangladesh from 1971) is surrounded on three sides by India.
The moslems thought that religion would be enough to keep the West and East Pakistan together. Initially, West Pakistan had the political power but when in the 1960s, a particular party in East Pakistan became the largest party in the Pakistani Parliament, the West Pakistan politicians for political/class reasons cracked down hard on East Pakistan. This caused millions of East Pakistanis to escape to India. India for political plus economic reasons, starting arming the East Pakistanis. India also then invaded East Pakistan. The end result was a humilitaing defeat for West Pakistan and this resulted in East Pakistan breaking away and becoming Bangladesh.
I don't know if this is what you are thinking but.... East Pakistan, and West Pakistan
No, Saudi Arabia is west of Pakistan.
because the east pakistani people were being violated by the west pakistani soldiers and the men of the region finally realized that pakistan was crazy.
Bangladesh was formerly known as "East Pakistan" after the partition of British India. Pakistan was "West Pakistan". "East Pakistan" seceded from "West Pakistan" in 1971 after a short but vicious civil war, aided by India.
It depends on your location. Depending on where you are Pakistan could be north, south, east, or west.
