An RV cam is a motor home performance part. This part will allow your motor home to pull power at a lower RPM.
No An RV cam is an aftermarket part. Many RVs have them added but it was not standard from the factory.
16 degrees btdc.
A new one!!!!!!! LOL No< i would have to say a RV cam< mild but you van tell a difference without sacrificing fuel consumption...
it has 3.5
An RV cam gives you good torque and economy while not interfering with the normal functioning of your computer. You'll just have serious problems if you go much more radical than that. You can pick up a little extra performance by going to slightly higher compression pistons and adding an extration (header) exhaust system with a low backpressure mufler and large bore exhaust.
About the same as any other the only changes to those motors are a better cam and once in awhile cool heads that's about it
Hello, Jamison here, An RV cam is not that big an increase,,, But anytime you put in A bigger cam you reduce the vaccume in the intake,, I am not too sure that it would have that much of an impact on the vehicles performance,,, Check this stuff out, SET timing, The right way Make sure ALL hoses are in the correct place make sure the engine was assembled the correct way (the cam timing ETC) Is the check engine on/off ? If all this checks out, Then you MUST replace the cam back to stock.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jamison.
You can put the Vortec in it if you have the wiring and ecm to run it. or you could use the Vortec heads and an aftermarket intake and really wake up your engine. The vortecs use a roller cam.
An RV.
Contact the cam manufacturer of your choice for a specific recommendation.
Seriously, don't mess with the cam that much unless you only plan to race it. Mild compression increase in the pistons and an RV cam will give you some decent improvement, and an exhaust header will also help.
10 degree would be a good starting point to go from
