What is an address soldiers would send letters from if they were fighting in vimy ridge WW1?

If an English or Canadian soldier could get to a post office he would likely post a letter from the town of Thelus or Givenchy-en-Gohelle. Once the allies took the ridge, the Germans would post from Oppy-Mericourt. These towns are in the Nord Pas De Calais region of France.
Military mail works differently however and a soldier would likely have no address on the letter other than the destination and he would not have been allowed to mail it through civilian post offices.
