Genetic modification is when you take a beneficial gene, a bit of DNA, from one species and add it to the DNA sequence of another species. The genetically modified subject will use the gene and benefit from it, for example to grow better fruit or be resistant to disease, or to produce insulin.
The above process has been done for thousands of years by a bacteria called Agrobacterium which causes a plant root disease called "Agrobacterium Root Gall" The disease causing genes can be replaced with other sequences of DNA which the bacteria then inserts into the plant for them. There are many different ways, but this is the most common.
Genetic manipulation is also done in medicine and agriculture. In agriculture, it is most commonly done to create crops that are resistant to synthetic herbicides or to create crops that produce a substance that kills insects when they eat the plant.
Mostly known as mutation. It mostly happens spontaniously when the DNA is reproducing itself but can also be because of radio activity, sun light, chemicals a virus or in a laboratory. The result is a change in the genetic code wich results in different codons, genes, dna, fenotypes
Genetic Engineering is the group of applied techniques of genetics and biotechnology used to cut up and join together genetic material. Especially DNA from one or more species of organism and to introduce the result into an organism in order to change one or more of its characteristics
i dont knoe
genetic modification can be bad because animals and stuff are changed to taste better but im not sure if that is genetic engineering
the world will eventually and if do this

Genetic modification can be used beneficially in a multitude of ways, Farming: GM crops can be made to survive in conditions where they normally wouldn't grow, They can be made more juicy and more numerous so the farmer can make a better living, they an be less likely to succumb to diseases. Bacterial: Bacteria can now be modified in such a way as to produce useful molecules like insulin. Human: Human genetic modification is entirely theoretical as no method of genetic manipulation is currently seen as moral. However it is possible that genetic modification could make future generations immune to diseases we fall pray to, Make them stronger, faster, smarter and more healthy than we are.
Genetic modification is a controversial subject.

Gel electrophoresis can be used to analyze differences in DNA before and after the genetic modification. In this process, the DNA on the gel moves according to size under the influence of an electric field. Changes in the size of the DNA after genetic modification can be seen on the gel
