if you are planing on doing at home, you can do it if you do not mind cutting your truck a little. i will post a video on YouTube in a little while to show you how to replace a heater door in a navigator.... you can do it at home for about 100 bucks :D instead of taking it to the dealership which they will charge around 1200-1400 for a 20-30 dollar door and a 35-40 dollar motor.

It may be the blend door actuator. This part starting making a clicking sound in my 2003 Lincoln Navigator. It is located in the back right panel next to the rear seat. When I removed the actuator and opened it up, I found that one of the gears was partially stripped.
Probably a faulty blend door actuator. Remove the glove box to gain access to the actuator. Replace the actuator with a new one.

Probably won't be fixable, it is electronic. Replacement is necessary. Dash assembly must be removed to gain access to the temp blend actuator.
