Teacup pomeranians, according to most pomeranian breed standards and pomeranian breed clubs, do not exist. In fact, you may say that they do but ''teacup'' is just a fancy word that sad breeders and puppy mills use to attract innocent people like you and I into buying sickly and poorly bred pomeranians. These dogs usually cost a lot (thousands, because of their size); not to mention all the medical bills you will have to pay for the sick dog, all the financial and emotional pain you, your family and perhaps even the dog may experience.
I don't want to make my answer too long, so if you do not understand some terminology, you can always Google it up and read people who want teacups being yelled at by angry people out there! You can read stories about teacups and even their mothers (who are often small and bred over and over again so that horrible breeders can get the most money from them). It's sad. Trust me, you'll regret buying a 'teacup' pomeranian and you really should think twice. However it's your life and I have no rights whatsoever to tell you what to do!
I am dearly sorry if this does not answer your question, so to answer it, I think ''teacup'' pomeranians are supposed to (according to the people who believe they exist) weigh below the breed standard (the breed standard is 3 - 7 pounds, so ''teacup'' pomeranians are below 3 pounds). Note that most ''teacup'' pomeranians just weigh within the pomeranian breed standard. If you want a smaller breed that looks similar to a pomeranian (but just less hairier), why not try the long haired chihuahua?
A teacup poodle does not exist. It is a runt of a miniature poodle. Backyard breeders and puppy mills use the term teacup to make more money of a smaller dog, that is usually unhealthy due to size. The AKC does not recognize "teacup" as a distinct variety of poodle. The smallest is the "toy," defined as being 10" tall or less at the shoulder. Miniatures are 10-15", standards are 15" and taller. "Teacups" are the result of breeding runt toys (3-5 pounds), making them the offspring of the weakest dogs from the parents' litters; the worst of the worst. Toy poodles, which can be very hardy and long-lived, only average about 8 pounds and, when well-trained, are fantastic pets.
They weigh about 50 grams
I have one she weigh less than average weight for it's size about 25 grams, she is so light.
Are you aware that a Toy or Teacup Yorkshire is not a purebred Yorkshire? These pets have been bred from runts to achieve this small size. They usually come with health issues and do not have the same lifespan as a Purebred Yorkshire. I breed Purebred German Yorkshires, so I know a bit about this subject!

Yes, a Teacup Yorkie is recommended for an apartment. Small dogs make the best apartment dogs because they do not need as much room.
No. Teacup Chihuahuas are.
I paid $1,000.00 for a male teacup Yorkie thru a private owner.
Teacup dogs don't exist.
a teacup chihuahua a teacup yorkie or a cavelier
Actually, the term "teacup" is used by some breeders who are just trying to get people to buy their dogs.... a "teacup" yorkie is not a separate breed. All yorkies are considered hypoallergenic.
A yorkie
Yorkies can be different sizes depending on what type of yorkie. The Teacup Yorkies can fit into a teacup. The Toy Yorkies can get up to about 1 1/2 feet. The regular Yorkies can get up to about 2 feet.
A standard sized yorkie weighs 7 lbs and they are 6-7 inches high. A teacup would weigh around 3.5 lbs. If you get a yorkie above 7.5-8lbs...you may have gotten suckered and received a mix!
