Protestant and Catholics are not very different from each other, the biggest difference is that Protestants do not believe in Jesus as the Lord. Another difference is the lack of a Pope or head leader for the Protestants.
I am a Protestant and in terms of beliefs we are very much the same, the biggest difference is that protestants say the final word is the Bible and no Church leader has more authority than that. Also there are more rituals for Catholics. The last thing that is greatly different is confessions which we (Protestants) believe that you only need to confess to God, where as Catholics must have the Priest as an intercessor between man and God.
