None.

Unless you enjoy being abused and beaten, there is no potential. He will attack you sooner or later. He has the potential to kill you. If you read this and think : " Oh, no, he's so sweet and caring, etc etc", you are in for a bad surprise!

No one gets a five year sentence for "hitting a woman." It was a whole lot worse than that. (Not that hitting anyone is acceptable). More likely he inflicted serious injuries and is a repeated offender. The easiest way to predict future behavior is by looking at past behavior. I don't believe any type of abuser can be rehabilitated. Like wild animals, the potential to attack is always present. IMO, anyone who gets involved with one is "living on borrowed time."

Most abusers are serial, repeated offenders.

None at all. You may as well be the woman that he was incarcerated for hitting. My ex-boyfriend had assult charges pressed on him for punching his mom in the nose and breaking it. He was emotionally abuse towards me, and he would hit things (thankfully not me, though) when he was angry. The point is that if he hit one woman, there's a very good chance that he'll hit you, unless he willingly saught theropy and benefitted from it.

I like a girl but she likes someone else. How do I get her to like me?

You cannot force her to like you. In any relationship, or potential relationship, it's very important to be yourself. If she doesn't like you for who you are, then chances are that, even if you did get together, the relationship would not last long.

What is dual relationship in counseling practice?

A dual relationship in counseling is when the counselor/therapist has more than one social role related to the potential client. For example, you would not be someone's "neighbor" or "cousin" and also their "therapist." If there is question as to whether you may be in a dual relationship situation, it is best to ask (if you are the potential client) or provide (if you are the potential therapist) information for alternate providers to avoid any conflict of interest.

What does it mean to feel confused when you think about someone?

It can mean a lot of different things; relationship wise it could mean when you think about whether or not you would want a relationship with someone, you're unsure of the fact if you really like him/her and what you want out of the potential relationship. In short, you're confused about your feelings for whomever you're thinking of.
