P71 Crown Victoria's do not have the 3 valve 4.6, the still use the 2 valve 4.6 (250 hp / 287 lbft)
Passanger side valve cover.
If you mean the modulator valve for the transmission its on the side of the transmission. Under the car.New Answerthe 1987 ford crown vic with a AOD overdrive transmission does not have a modulator valve
The PCV valve should be on the passenger side valve cover, about halfway back.On a few models it is on the back of the engine mounted to the plenum.
its on the back side of the thottle body on top of the intake manifold. There are some good pictures showing the location and instructions for repair/replacement at Autoclinix.com specifcally for the Crown Victoria.
Should be marked oil. Should be on the valve cover.
The intake may have to be removed to gain access. The valve cover just bolts on. When putting a new gasket on clean all of the old gasket off and try not to scratch the head or valve cover.
Ok, I have a 1991 Crown Vic, 5.8L-351Win, 2bbl, Police Model and the large sticker on the valve cover says "Firing Order 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8". Hope that helps.
The engine will run rough, and not caused by a faulty spark plug. Best to have a compression check, dry and with oil. This will tell you.
Unlike most vehicles, This PVC valve isn't located in the valve cover. You can find the PVC valve on this model directly behind the point where the Upper and Lower intake meet. The valve will be plugged directly into the lower intake manifold. It took me a while to find the valve, I hope this information will help someone out.
Should be on back valve cover
Messy job, On the driver side you need to remove air intake assy and throttle assy to be able to remove the valve cover. On the passenger side, you have to remove the air intake plenum to get to the valve cover. Time consuming... but not impossible.
