Verbal- Talking, or reading written words.

Non verbal- any other method of getting your point across that does not involve talking, or words. Such as shaking your head to mean no, or nodding to mean yes.

If someone asks me "where is my car" that's verbal. If I point to their car, that's non-verbal.
