According to the 1996 Ford Probe Owner Guide : For the manual transaxle ( transmission ) ( Ford SAE 75W/90 gear oil , meeting Ford specification API GL-4 )
If a vehicle, manual or automatic, does not shift into a certain gear, there may be a problem with that gear. Gears get worn and need replacing in a vehicle's lifetime.
Idk all of them, but I installed a tach in my 97 aspire, and 65 mph in third gear is at about 6k rpm. idk what the redline even is, so i hardly ever take it past 5.5k. lol.
Yes, although the gear ratios are slightly different.
It may be in gear but you have a broken CV joint. Check the boot on the joint to see if it's torn or cut. If it is then jack up the front end and hold the big part of the joint right by the wheel and turn the small shaft if they turn seperatly then the joint is broken and your car will not move.
Low gear.
on transmission there is a 10mm screw with a cable running to it remove screw and gear and use gear as dipstick
Only if it has a posi traction or limited slip differential.
As of October 13 , 2012 you can still view the 1996 Ford Bronco owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( page 178 explains the BRAKE-SHIFT INTERLOCK and what to do if you can't shift out of PARK with the brake pedal depressed )
It is important to have the right fluid in a car to help it run smoothly. For a 1992 Ford Ranger with a Manual Transmission the best gear oil is Mercon V.
