- There is no "cure" for vitiligo there are treatments such as UVA light and other such treatments but they are not guaranteed to work. The larger area the vitiligo covers the more difficult it is to treat it because there are so few treatments. (It also depends where you are as too what treatment you are given or you can get.) Initially we were taking Alopathy treatement. After 5 months the doctor in Sj hospital, Bangalore,India, performing Biopsy, found that as a PLC. There after She was taking Althrocin(Erithromycin) syrup 1 bottle each week atleast for 5 months.
After which the condition is no different ;the eruption started spreading to face and hands also. They doctor asked my daughter to stand in early morning Sun exposure half naked. During the time there is no better sun lights due to winter time and she was litterally shivering.
From the beginning, my relatives in Kerala were keep on asking to consult ayurvedic doctors in Kerala. But I was little hesitant to do so. My thinking during the time was the ayurvedic doctor may not know even all these names like PLC/biopsy/phototheraphy.
One fine day, I decided to take her to Kerala, by the time the Alopathy doctors were giving Tropical steriods ointment. It was great that I met Ayurvedic Dr.Mani,BAMS,Vellachaal, Karivellur,Kerala and he assured that He can cure it in a month time and did it exactly. I have to thank my daughter also, simply because, it is very difficult take the ayurvedic medicine for its taste. The eruption and their marks were simply dissappeared in two weeks time. But the doctor adviced take two syrups to Impurin and Immunit for another three months, Since we cant stay in Kerala for more than a month and also to avoid its recurrence.
