The only negative I can see to installing an auto-fill is that you can't be sure whether your pool is truly holding water. Through age and mishaps, pools can develop leaks. Having an auto-fill, you would not know if you had a leak until it became substantial or you got an outrageous water bill.

Some GM transmissions are sealed for life and have no filler tube. Refer to your owners manual for the scheduled maintenance on the transmission.
should not have a filler bolt should just fill straight thru the dipstick pipe on transmission
No dipstick for the auto box on a 92 525 there is a filler plug on the side of the box similar to the filler on a manual box.
Same place you check the fluid level.
Filler/level plug is located on the gearbox very similar to a manual box filler/level plug there is no dipstick fitted to this model.
look for a filler tube coming from the transmission on the passenger side
Undo the filler plug. The fluid should be level with the hole. Test by inserting your finger. Top up until it trickles from the filler hole.
Based on what I've read, this typically occurs when it was not installed properly.
You add A/T transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
Remove the transmission pan underneath and it's inside of it.
Automatic. Between the rad and the engine, drivers side, look down a little.
