Amazingly, the Amazon (Pink) river dolphin lives at the mouth of the Orinoco river!

Venezuela also boasts 20+ foot long Orinoco crocodiles (they are HUGE), placid Amazonian Manatees (cousins to the elephant) , the near-threatened Jaguars (largest feline in the Western Hemisphere), Giant Anteaters (consumer of up to 30,000 insects per day), Ospreys (two-foot-long fish-eating raptors), Ibises (snake-eaters), Kingfishers (only six types found in the Americas), and the Capybara, the world's LARGEST RODENT!

Venezuela's national bird is the yellow-orange Troupial. They are gorgeous to behold.
