hi please answer this question PLEASe The role he had was he started his own reform the protestant Reformation which was based on his 95 theses. We know that he was a monk but while n the monastery he had obsereved several things that he did not like about the Catholic church- such as indulgences. He believed that the righteousness off the church should be the gift of God's Grace and not be based on indulgences. He had a great impact in the catholic church because he sought many reforms against it. Believed that The Bible should be written in vernacular languages and not just in latin. To him the Catholic church was filled with hypocrisy and changed needed to be done. It was based on money and not enough on preaching and teaching of God. The pure truth of the church should be based on the teachings of God. He did not necessarily believe in all the teachings of the catholic church and therefore sought out his own reform.

Who created the Lutheran church?

His followers. I have been raised Lutheran and I have learned that Martin Luther's original intentions were not at all to break with the Catholic church, he in fact encouraged his followers not to break from the church, he just wanted to change the corruptness of it and focus more on the Bible. The way I understand it to be is that Martin Luther's followers (not Martin Luther, it was after his death) broke from the Catholic church because they recognized the strength of the church itself and were insulted by the fact that the Catholic church excommunicated Luther.
