During diet every person should eat sufficient amount of calories with all amounts of fats, proteins, carbohydrates. Fruits and veggies should occupy major part of our meals. We have to avoid all junk food, fast food, fries and sugars. It sounds well by replacing sodas with water, should take minimum 8 glasses of water. We can take mostly 25% protein from our daily intake and an ordinary person consumes 80 to 100 grams of fat in day, when we are in diet it would be nice to take 50-60 grams of fats. Remaining would be carbohydrates.
