Stalin came up with Five-Year-Plans. This was the beginning of the industrialization. What Stalin did was take all the farm lands away from the peasants and a put them in control of the goverment. All the peasants were forced to work in these lands and give every single one of the crops to The soviet union, leaving them with nothing to eat causing millions of deaths. This process was called colectivitions. The soviet Union Selled all the crops over seas to other countries, making the amount of money necessary to buy the technology and weapons necessary to industrialize Russia. A year before his expectations he was abble to industrialize russia, but not only that. He placed the soviet union as the second most powerfull country in the wolrd and made it able to win World War II againts hittler.
