Adolf Hitler was the founder and leader of the Nazi Party in Germany. He lead the German (Nazi) empire to new heights of power in the Second World War. Hitler's Nazi Government was known as the Third Reich. Hitler claimed the third Reich would last a thousand years - and it might have, had he not so foolishly attacked the Brits, and then the Russians. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, American joined the war and in just 12 years from its inception, the Third Reich was toppled by the allied forces of America, Britain and Russia.

Hitler was the leader of the Axis Powers who were originally Hitler (Germany) Mussolini (Italy), Joseph Stalin (Russia/USSR) and General Togo (Japan) When Hitler faills to take Britain he then broke treaty and turned on Russia, prompting Stalin to leave the Axis Powers and join the Allies. The Axis Powers then consisted of Japan, Germany, and Italy.

Hitler was a corporal in WWI that had been gassed. He left the army a very bitter man. He thought that Germany had sold it's soldiers out and the country due to the peace treaty. And that treaty was so harsh in demanding payment to countries for the death and destruction that Germany went into a deep depression where many Germans starved to death. And Germany was limited to 100,000 soldiers from that treaty. This put millions of professional soldiers out of work.

So with all the hate and poverty and starving in Germany Hitler looked for answers. He met several men that would direct his hate and blame on the Jews and International Bankers. This group of men were also hate mongers and ex-army. Leaders of the Nazis saw in him a ruthless leader type that could speak well to large groups. Which his speeches were full of promises to make Germany great again and get the country working again and the big promise to end the peace treaty stop paying war debts and increase the army again. Once the Nazis were a political party of 3 million he actually told his men to go out one night and kill many of the people that had trained him and had helped him gain power. The killings were called the Night of the Long Knives. Anyone that was against him or might get as much power as he had was killed.
