The immediate result was that it showed that Israel was not going anywhere. Israel now controlled more land in the Middle East and had effectively positioned itself in regional and international affairs.

The Six-Day War fundamentally changed the paradigm of Middle East relations because it confirmed (diplomatically and politically) that Israel was "here to stay" and that the only peace in the Middle East would be a peace that included Israel. Ever since Resolution 242 passed in the United Nations, there has been a rather consistent call from the International Community for Israel to exchange land for peace whereas prior to the war, there was no visible solution to the conflict other than total victory for each side. On account of the territory acquired during the Six-Day War, Israel has made peace with Egypt and with Jordan, trading land for peace (in the Jordanian case, the claim to the West Bank was ceded to the Palestinians).

The United States did not support Israel during the Six Day War even though the USA made numerous statements prior to war breaking out that it would support Israel. When war broke out, the United States State Department not only declared that it would maintain a neutral stance, but President Johnson imposed an arms embargo on Israel. The only way that the United States positively contributed to Israel winning the war is that the United States was able to get the Arabs to sit down and sign an armistice to end the conflict. United States Aid and military connection to Israel improved only after the Six Day War.

In order for there to be a result of something, the thing has to have happened. As the United States did not support Israel during the conflict, no effect can be taken from the support not given.

Was Israel the aggressor in the conquest of the West Bank in 1967?

No. Jordan was the aggressor in 1967, in that theatre of the war. On June 5, 1967, Israel preemptively attacked Egypt and Prime Minister Eshkol sent a message to King Hussein of Jordan explicitly asking him to stay out of the conflict so that Israel could concentrate its attack on Egypt. On June 6, Jordanian radar picked up Israeli fighter jets over Egyptian airspace returning to Israel. Egyptian President Nasser wanted Jordanian involvement so that Israel would have to fight a war on two fronts and communicated to King Hussein that the jets were Egyptian on a victory invasion of Israel. As a result, on June 7th, Jordan began to shell West Jerusalem from the West Bank, resulting in an Israeli invasion of the West Bank later that day. So, while Israel was the aggressor with respect to the Gaza Strip occupation, Jordan was the aggressor with respect to the West Bank Occupation.
