It prevented the United States from taking most of our West Coast....oh wait no it didn't. It ensured that Canada would always have a military that could defend our nation...oh wait no it didn't. I meant that Canada would be able to patrol the borders without U.S. help...oh wait no it didn't.
Well at least it would protect us from Reciprocity with the States giving them easy access to our resources...oh wait no it didn't.
Well at least the Province once known as Canada has many pros, like more money and power than if they had not taken over, er I mean, Confederated with other colonies.
haha

there are many different pros and cons= c
yes
a whole lot
Newfoundland had an incredible amount of wood , Newfoundland had a disease in their apples , which was killing people .
SOme of the Pros and Cons of Canadian Confederation are : Canada would be United as one Country and would be given the name Canada. Not everyone agreed with the British North American act. Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland both did not want any part of it and did not join until 1871 and 1949. The french speaking population was also divided but they were divided after Confederation. I hope this helps :0)
Pros- America is less likely to be able to take over all of the colonies together in confederation, than they would be to take over one colony alone. Also, the people who organized confederation would pay for your debt. There would also be a railway connecting all of the colonies of Confederation together, so that they could easily go to and from the colonies, instead of walking. The system of government is also very good to, and there are some responsible leaders. Cons- If you joined Confederation, you lose your identity as a lone colony, and you can't make AS MANY of your own decisions. You can still make some decisions though.
Pros: greater defense against attacks, railway system, demolition of trade barriers Cons: Nova Scotia would not benefit from railway, less say in government, French in Quebec worried about becoming an even smaller minor
we would die if we weren't a country we would die if we weren't a country we would die if we weren't a country
the Klondike Gold rush brought many Americans toward Canada and the canadians thought that the ameriacans would use this to take over Canada.
Please be more specific?Do you mean "pros" as in Professionals, or "pros" as in Pros and Cons?
