The up switches may be no longer making connections due to wear and poor connections.

There's probably a button on the driver's door next to the window control or next to the door which locks (disables the buttons of) the rear windows. If you see a power drain (at night) where the headlights dim when you try to put them down, perhaps they are stuck. Carefully use a plastic paint scraper to get some soapy water between all of the rubber and the glass and try to free the windows. Don't overwork the motors when the windows are stuck, since this makes them very hot and shortens thrie life.
