If the fluid level is correct, have the transmission screen checked. More than likely it is dirty and needs replacing. Other than that....a new transmission may be called for.
There are no wind speeds to discuss on Mercury, since there is no atmosphere there.
Perhaps a clogged fuel filter. If a car stops running--or won't start or stay running--it's either a fuel or a spark problem.
at cruising speeds you will be in a high vacuum situation that advances the timing for better economy.
When you're cruising along at highway speeds on level roads.
The max speed of an MD80 is 500kt, cruising speed around 440kt.
There is no wind because Mercury has no significant atmosphere.
It varied with where in orbit it was. It could reach speeds of 8 km per second.
Most jet airliners currently used in transatlantic service have maximum speeds of approximately 568 mph, and are typically operated at cruising speeds of 530 to 540 mph. The supersonic Concorde airliner, used from 1976 to 2003, had a cruising speed of 1330 mph.
The transmission may need fluid is the first thing to look at. The next thing is check the filter it may need replaced.
It will mainly happen at cruising speeds. It does not show you on the dash on a 2006.
Mine did it because of a horrible alignment
Mercury is the 'speediest' planet because of it's fast rotational speeds.
