It would be a dissaster for the US economy, by making the US debt bigger, it would weaken the US Dollar to 3 Dollars per Euro, 5 dollars per Pound or more and other countries that don't support the war, like China, would see their currecies at a extremenly higher price, which is going to make every American citizen's life really expensive, Hope they never do such thing!
The Hamas government in the Gaza strip would attack Israel in response to any declaraiton of war on Iran, and Israel would then be asked by the US not to respond, similar to the events of the Gulf War. The implication in the west could be catastrophic because no UK intelligence knows the number of links potetial terrorist organisations have in the UK to Iran. Security risks would therefore be significantly incresed to an urgent level.
