You can do various things like ride a bicycle, don't go on long trips unless necessary, don't keep your house so hot in winter or cool in summer, don't leave your computer and TV on 24/7, use a smaller engine car, don't go by air, don't leave lights on in rooms not being used. That all reduces energy use. You can also use solar energy to heat your hot water and possibly more, or use a small windmill to produce electricity, to replace some of the fossil fuelled energy.
