Well it all depends. I line in Minnesota. The only time I dont fish is the period between "soft water fishing" and "ice fishing" and visa versa. The fishing can be "better" at different times of the year, but you can usually atleast catch a few fish on each trip. Prime times can be early spring when they are spawning, late fall, and early and late ice. It also epends on the species you are targeting. As far as actual "time" I prefer early morning, an hour before sunrise til 2-3 hours after can be great, as well as late evening, an hour before til a few hours after sunset are the main times I focus on depending on the species I am targeting. I use those methods when fishing for walleye and crappie. If I am pike or sunfish fishing I target tham all day long, as pike are roamers and sunfish are the easiest to find. Hope this answers some of your questions.
if it has rained for a long period of time then it stops GO! because when it rains hard bugs go for cover and fish get scared and head deeper there for they get no food then when it stops they are hungry and ready to bite...................also bass like to ''rest'' in mid day2:00 - 5:00 morning and night are there active hours and if catfish is what your going for then night fish have a bright light (fire, latern, spot light, head lights ect.) to draw the fish to shore and cast and wait!
If you ask me anytime of the year is the best time to go fishing. It varies on the fish species that you are targeting. Many cold water species such as trout and salmon are the biggest and strongest during spring and fall. Warm water species such as bass and walleye are best to catch during the spring and summer. Whether it be open water or frozen water, all days of the year are good for fishing.
Generally speaking fishing is best around the full moon starting 3days prior and 3 days after for a total of 7days. This can be offset by weather patterns with 3 consecutive days of stable weather being the best and each day of stable weather making fishing only better. Cold fronts and severe thunder storms can turn fish off for prolonged periods of time, I've seen a week plus after a really bad thunder storm. Prior to storms 45min or more can be some of the best fishing of your life. So to answer your question more directly Either spring or fall the morning and or mid evening of the full moon on a day that's had at least 3 days of stable weather leading up to it.
In general early morning and late evening are good times. As far as weather goes overcast and cloudy is best. Also during a full moon is also a good time to fish. Spring and fall are also considered good times of the year to fish.
There is not a best time but simply the bait choice of the time.
In summer, bass bite best in early morning or late evening. As the water cools in fall, they may bite best in late morning or afternoon.
I think the best time to go fishing is early in morning and in spring.
Sunrise. It's best to begin fishing before sunrise that way you will be ready when they start bitting
First time fishing on a given lake or pond? Check out for up to date topographical maps of virtually every pond or lake in Massachusetts on their website.
The main lake and river at Jesus time was the river Jordan and the Galalee.
10:00 AM in the morning is the good time to fish in conneticut river in springfield MA.
August...
They are both fantastic baits to use. It all depends on time of year and what they are biting on at that particular river or lake. Take both with you and test them yourself. No body can tell you one is better than the other. Go to www.myfishinggoods.com for articles on catfishing.
Summer time because the fish are more active and they are done spawning which means they are ready to eat..
You are referring to an oxbow lake. Oxbow lakes form as a river deposits sediment and changes course over time.
If it is summer time, you are in Canada, and you like to fish, you are in luck! There are plenty of fantastic places to go fishing. The best place to go is Tree River in the Nunavut Province. Another great place is Jasper National Park.
Midnight
Its rainy at most of the time. And there is also Homboldt River And also there is A Colorado River and a lake that is called Lake Tohoe that's where most people fish and do things!
The best fly is the fly that is hatching at the time you are fishing. My personal favorite is salmon fly hatch from the end of June to the middle of July depending on what part of the river your on here in Idaho.
Go to Lake Hylia. Swim out to the island in the middle with a plaque that reads, 'When water fills the lake, shoot for the morning light.' Turn. There should be a small building on a small outcropping of land with a poster of a fishing pole on its side.
