To get that answer, all you have to do is read the Book of Mormon . It started 600 years before Christ and ended 400 a.d. What people that was left became the American Indians and the people that has lived from Mexico down through central and south America.

Hmmm - assuming you are at least partially correct that answer still needs some caveats. Those who believe in the Book of Mormon only posit that it tells of SOME of those led to the Americas. Note that the Nephites lived there for about 400 years before they encountered the people of Zarahemla who were only a few days travel from their original territory. How many other people might have been roaming around that they didn't travel far enough to encounter?
