- Yes, for many individuals just losing one loved one to death can cause Post Traumatic Stress and most certainly when the person has lost their son; mother; brother; cousin and Grandparent; pets and their home burns down because it is too much of shock and sadness for the mind to deal with. Grief counselling is essential, but going through a grieving process basically is a lonely journey each of us has to deal with sooner or later in order to heal. Lean on a good and loyal friend for support; cry when you want to; go jogging; hiking; walking or whatever you find peaceful because exercise and good diet does reduce the stress one feels over many losses. Also going on Grief Loss and Bereavement forums also helps heal the grieving process just by knowing others are going through something similar to you. Time is the healer even though you may feel you will never heal your broken heart, but the major hurt does subside eventually (everyone grieves at their own pace) and then the good memories of your loved ones and your pets will also be a healing process. Also the shock of a home burning down will subside and eventually you will be able to have another home or rebuild the one you lost.
