Oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust manifolds & in the exhaust pipes on most vehicles
I have to jump start my Pontiac Bonneville 1988 everyday I drive it why is that.

Rear of engine follow exhaust manifold at rear of motor(closest to firewall) you will see oxygen sensor there.Simple to remove(1 only on this motor)

The 1988 Pontiac Bonneville originally used R12 freon, this freon is no longer available due to government regulation. Your A/C system must have it's A/C service ports replaced. Then the system filled with the correct amount of R134a freon.

the pump is in the gas tank and the pump is inline between the tank and the engine, close to the tank
Check for code in computer Usually a crankshaft sensor does the same thing is culprit,but have scanned first

I'm not a mechanic / technician but on a 1988 Ford Ranger there might be ( 1 ) oxygen sensor ( upstream sensor )
