- United airlines flight 175 took off from Logan international airport in Boston Massachusetts heading to Los Angeles international airport California. This is the plane that hit the South tower.
- United Airlines flight 93 took off from Newark international airport New Jersey headed for San Francisco International airport California. This plane crashed into the open field in Pennsylvania.
- American Airlines flight 77 took off from Washington Dulles international airport heading for Los Angeles International Airport. This is the plane that hit the Pentagon.
