Jack up and secure your vehicle. There are two front O2 sensors. One comes out of the left side exhaust manifold and one out of the right side exhaust manifold. Once you get under the vehicle, you can spot them. The left one may be slightly hidden by the middle frame of the car, but the right one is a little farther back and easier to spot. If you have difficulty, follow the exhaust from the Catalytic converter back to the engine and you'll see the sensors with a couple wires coming out of them.
the cam sensor is locate at the front of the engine.
Just locate the connector with the white cable, in the front of the Engine and it lead you to the oxygen sensor. It has to be attached to the Pre- Cat
Check this site out, it shows you. http://www.nissanhelp.com/diy/maxima/projects/nissan_maxima_o2_sensor_identification.htm
in the exhaust manifold. is there any place to buy a used one?
What problems will a bad speed sensor cause on a 1999 Nissan Maxima
stand up face to face in front of the engine ,your left side is Bank 1 (firewall) and the right side is Bank 2 (radiator side)
where is the camshaft sensor in a 96 nissan maxima 3.0
The upstream oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter The downstream oxygen sensor is located at the catalytic converter outlet
Did you figure out where this sensor is located
bank one is drivers side, sensor 2 is rear O2 sensor(oxygen sensors are screwed into exhaust pipes)
bank 2 is on the left side of the engine or the side closest to the front of the vehicle. So the oxygen sensor would be on the exhaust coming from the left side.
Answer I found this great site about Nissan O2 and its location to fix with diagrams!
