the knock sensor is located right in the middle of both left and right under the fuel rail. its on the block. find a picture of it, and you'll wonder what took you so long.

There is NO right are left bank knock sensor. If you are smart you will replace BOTH of them while you have the intake off. You do have left and right bank oxygen senors, But not knock sensors.
The knock sensor for a 2.8 vr6 is located on the side of the block. It is right against the hose for the oil cooler.
