You will find whether you have a th350 transmssion or any metric trans , the dipstick will be located on the right side of the vehicle in the rear. Your (left hand side facing the engine) there should be a tube that comes up between the ac unit and the engine on the passenger side. its not going to stick out very far so it might be kind of hidden, but there is only two dipsticks, oil and Transmission Fluid,(process of elimination)
Thru dipstick tube
Most often, the length is 24 inches. I have seen some that are 27 inches though.
Buy a transmission funnel and pour the fluid in the dipstick tube.
There is a little metal tube stuck in the transmission. TOP SIDE It is hard to see it when it is in a vehicle.
the left side behind the air hose to the air intake housing
It is 27 inches long.
The dipstick can rust if the pcv sytem is not working properly.
it should go in threw the head on the driver side but some go in threw the block on the passenger side
You should never add transmission fluid to a Chevrolet 350 engine. You can add transmission fluid to the transmission through the transmission dipstick holder.
No turbo 350's in 1992.
It is between the back of the engine and the front of the transmission. You must remove the transmission to get to it. NO other way.
driver's side, through the block.
