That group disbanded in 1926 and re-formed as the BBC we know today, the United Kingdom's national broadcasting service. The BBC received its Royal Charter on January 1, 1927. Its home studios are at Broadcast House in London, England, but it has branches and offices all over the world, and employs more than 20,000 people.
