The part where the sandlot boys play against the "real" team (the kids with uniforms) is filmed in Rose Park (on the westside of SLC). I am not sure about the rest of the film, though I seem to remember hearing that it was in the Holladay area.

The lot where the film The Sandlot is based on is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It still exists, and was recently mentioned as it's been 20 years since the movie debuted (1993).

The movie takes place in California. The exact location is never expressly stated in the movie, but "the Valley" is mentioned once, suggesting the San Fernando Valley.
