Where was the video for come on eileen shot?

Though the band is, as far as I know, from Birmingham, I would think the location of the video is in London. The yellow brick architecture is certainly London, and given the general dereliction of the area back in the 1980s, I'd guess somewhere in East London.

I lived on Austral Street (SE11 4SJ) for a few years and saw the video on the TV one night and thought that place looks familiar?! Part of the video takes place outside the small corner shop where Hayles Street meets Brook Drive (Lambeth area close to Elephant and Castle, south London) and is still there while other parts are outside - a now vanished corner shop - on the north corner of the street where Austral Street meets Brook Drive. That corner shop - seen in the video with metal shutters down - was redeveloped into private accommodation around 2005. The final scene of our characters walking away northward up Brook Drive takes place on the opposite side of the street - north corner of Brook Drive & Sullivan Road - outside yet another shop which was also converted into flats around the same time, but is still recognisable. Other scenes revolve around Hayles street and other immediate areas which are now allotments or new build houses. Any mega fan should make a pilgrimage to Brook Drive - nearest tube; Lambeth North - as much of it still remains the same/recognisable, if not so derelict! (P.S. The scene in the Kray twins movie involving the fight outside his parked car outside a newsagent was filmed at the junction of the adjacent Walcot Sq/Sullivan Rd, don't you know!).
